In Drum Machine, Kristen Henderson offers a voice—a masterful and lyrical voice —that is universal to our experience. She celebrates nature, investigates her place in relationships, and describes the struggle of creativity. The portrait of her journey, now marked in history in Drum Machine, is a powerful one.—Carl Waldman 69 pages
